Soborno Bari, the first 12-year-old to attend NYU
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Asian-American Soborno Isaac Bari is a child prodigy and hopes to become a professor at sixteen or seventeen years.
It is fantastic to watch real-life child prodigies in action; after all, when we think of them, we think of Doogie Howser and Sheldon Cooper. Two characters who are fictional but very much etched a version of what it feels like to be a child prodigy in our minds.
A real-life child prodigy who has made waves online is Soborno Isaac Bari, a twelve-year-old boy with a special gift for mathematics and physics.
"Born on April 9, 2012, in New York, Soborno is a Bengali-American prodigy and has authored the book called ‘The Love’ in which he has tried to demolish the prejudice and hatred that stems from religious differences and biases." (Kids Chaupal)
He was recently featured on the Jennifer Hudson Show and, at a mere twelve, expressed himself so eloquently. He shared his excitement about attending New York University and, more than studying, is looking forward to social interactions with fellow math and physics enthusiasts.
He doesn't have much contact with kids his age, as he has been in high school with seniors, but he doesn't seem to be lacking in friendships.
Soborno shared his plan to complete his studies and become a professor. He finds joy in helping people in their pursuit of learning and finds that more fulfilling than the idea of money.
