A video spotted on social media shows a mother with her child at a store, waiting to be served.
The child is seated inside the trolley, with all of the mother’s shopping bags, including her child’s baby bag, placed inside as well – though the bag is left unzipped.
Two women enter the store and watch the mother from a distance. Having already marked their target, they work together to steal her belongings.
They are sly and act like customers, so the mother doesn't suspect a thing...

The video was posted by a man who shared his disgust with how criminals operate, voicing concern for the mother who was innocently targeted.

- If possible, leave your kids at home while shopping. Their presence can distract you, making it harder to stay alert to your surroundings.
- Dress simply and avoid wearing expensive jewellery or flashy shoes – these are big calling cards for criminals.
- Always be vigilant and discreet when using an ATM or withdrawing cash from a supermarket.
