Thief brazenly walks into home, steals gas cylinder
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
We have to be proactive as a community because criminals will try anything.
Days may pass and you may feel like all the proactive steps you have taken to keep your family safe are working just fine.
But that can't be said for everyone, because crimes are happening every day to people all around our country.
And the effects and the aftermath can be damaging to each and every one of us.
One example that we came across on our screens recently highlights the sheer ease of this crime - and it's left us shaken.
Of course, living in a crime-laden country can leave us numb to some extent.
But the fact that this man was not even afraid of being caught on camera says a lot about criminals and their fearlessness.
The criminal, who looks straight at the security camera, slowly walks over to the braai and carefully unhinges the Cadac gas cylinder.
The 5kg to 7kg Cadac gas cylinder retails for between R700 and R800 - and that's without gas.
So, assuming this one had gas, he made a good amount of money for himself by stealing the cylinder.
