Tiger roams the streets of Pretoria East

For most, Friday morning was a normal day but for the residents of the Pretoria east area it was something out of the ordinary.

A tiger was spotted roaming near the fence of The Meadows estate around 07:00. The owner of the tiger, Pedro Michaletos only realised that the animal was missing after seeing photos of him circulating on Facebook.

An investigation has been launched into how the tiger managed to escape its enclosure.

The animal has subsequently been captured and returned to its owner.
