Toxic companies and their red flags

We actually love how civilised and professional the employee remained in this instance.
We've all been in a situation where you find out something you shouldn't know at the workplace.
If you haven't, then keep it that way because when you know something you shouldn't, it always makes things more complicated. Sometimes the complications lead to good change and sometimes they don't.
For this woman who was harshly informed that she was earning the least amount of money in comparison to her colleagues who were in the same role as her, it ended in enlightenment.
An entrepreneur by the name of Chris Donnelly shares a series of videos on his TikTok account.
One that struck us was about toxic companies. He relays a story about an employee who found out that she was receiving unequal pay in comparison to her colleagues, who were working in the same role as her: Account Manager.
But what was worse is that she was a much harder worker than her colleagues and felt disheartened to find out that they were being paid more than she was.

@donnellycss This person just found out they're being underpaid, and this is the email they sent the boss. Well handled! #redflags #funny #toxiccompanies #badbosses ♬ original sound - Chris Donnelly

Basically, even though she could've handled it in a very upfront and angry way, she chose to follow the high road.
Her email was so well executed and the way she addressed things spoke volumes about her character.
Donnelly, as an experienced and well-established entrepreneur, agreed that the way the manager handled this was absolutely horrendous.
It was sad for the employee who put in so much effort in her job to be treated this way, but it was a positive push for her to find a new place of work as she resigned gracefully.
A classic example of how sometimes you have to remove yourself from toxic places for your own sanity.
