VIDEO: Cape Town man might be the worst driver ever
Why are people so brazen about their terrible parking skills?
We've seen many drivers complain about the way others park. Social media has provided them with a platform to air their views or, should we say, frustrations.
This, in turn, has translated into viewing more and more videos on social media of people who show bad parkers and how they walk around thinking their parking is acceptable... While we've seen some terrible examples, it still leaves us gob-smacked.
However, we believe we’ve found a driver who deserves the title of worst parker for 2024.
In a video posted on TikTok earlier last month, a driver was seen trying to fit into a parking space that was far too small in Cape Town.
The person filming from the window was puzzled by the driver's attempts to squeeze his car into the tight spot. When parallel parking, you need to allow extra space for the vehicles in front and behind you to move.
We think he was trying to do this, but it wasn't working out for him.

The man was so blasé about his bad parking that, not only did he visibly hit the car behind him, but he also got out of his vehicle, assessed his parking job, and then walked away.
His level of acceptance is questionable. We're not sure what happened when the drivers of the other cars returned or whether he acknowledged any damage caused by his parking. We can only hope that he took responsibility for his actions.
