Video shows car going straight into a large pothole
This is why staying alert at all times is so important.
As South African motorists, we can safely say that we are all too familiar with potholes.
Now, in saying that, we have to acknowledge that these potholes can occur at any time.
These often occur due to the amount of heavy-duty vehicles that are on the roads.
A video that really took potholes to another level taught us that you have to be extra careful when driving.
Of course, that should be a standard operating practice for all drivers, but this video captured something quite dangerous.
Luckily, from what we could see, the driver seemed to be okay, but this was so horrific to watch.

People who commented on the video post made a very good point, this was more of a sinkhole than a pothole.
It was truly scary how it all happened so quickly, but what was worse was how one motorist was able to see the sinkhole and another was obviously not paying attention.
