Video of thief trying his luck in Pretoria central

Being aware under any circumstance is important these days.
As South Africans, we are often on the lookout or on high alert because of crime.
But that doesn't mean we stop ourselves from living.
It is always scary though when we actually see a crime happen or become a victim ourselves. Therefore, it is important to stay aware and proactive.
A video showing a guy trying his luck in Pretoria Central caught our attention and we thought it important to share.
In the video, we see the man wait for the occupants of a vehicle to move away so he can try opening the door before they lock the vehicle.
He fails to open the door as the owner promptly locks the vehicle.

One person commented saying that he wasn't as lucky as this couple.
JustChill: "They opened mine b4 i could lock, luckily my car makes a sound when it locks and no sound if its unlocked."
aaliyah_jacobs1: "whenever I park my car and I lock it,I double check if it's locked by pulling the handle bcoz they use blockers when u think u locked the car u didn't"
Just remember the saying: "Better safe than sorry." So, as we approach the festive season be careful and more aware. Make sure you remember to lock your car and check that everything is secure before you walk away.
