People are claiming they've spotted John Wick walking the streets of Pietermaritzburg – is it possible?
The 'John Wick' movie franchise isn't for everyone, but South Africans certainly love skop-skiet-en-donder movies.
Keanu Reeves' portrayal of the retired hitman, John Wick, has captivated audiences across four chapters, following his reentry into the criminal underworld.
Talks of a possible fifth chapter were shut down recently by Reeves who said, "You know, the character’s dead. He died in 'John Wick: Chapter 4'."
He added, “I know, in Hollywood you can… I know, I know, it’s the Hollywood story. Right now, there isn’t."
Despite this, fans of the franchise jokingly claimed to have spotted Wick walking the streets of Pietermaritzburg, KZN.

It was truly remarkable how closely the man resembled the character John Wick. He even had the iconic walk down to a tee.
Watching a Wick lookalike casually stroll through the CBD of KZN's capital was more entertaining than we expected.
It felt like spotting your favourite action hero in your own hometown, and got us thinking – could South Africa make an appearance as a backdrop in a potential 'John Wick: Chapter 5'?
After all, when you're Wick, coming back from the dead isn't out of the question.
Fast-forward to bursting fans' bubbles. We came across another video that proves this man is just a lookalike and not the Wick we wanted to see.
