How, what, why? When drivers defy the odds and drive a vehicle that is far from roadworthy...

In South Africa, we've seen some pretty death-defying stunts. But we'll be honest, these seem minor compared to what happens on Nigerian roads.

We've seen people on motorised wheelchairs, two people sharing one bicycle, and even motorists towing a vehicle on castors.

While these examples may not have followed the rules of the road, they were still a little more acceptable than a recent video shared on social media.

The video, reportedly filmed in Nigeria, shows two Toyota vehicles driving on the road, each missing a back tyre.

Despite looking like they're defying gravity, these vehicles seem perfectly capable of moving through the streets of Nigeria.

Perhaps the only reason we find this unusual is because we wouldn't dare try it ourselves.

What was even more surprising was that some people in the comments weren’t shocked by these motorists’ antics.

One person wrote, "Omoooo, I’ve seen things a lot in my life, but every time I go to Nigeria, I see new things!!! I’ve seen an open, broken door completely, so eh, a three-wheeler is minor na, lol."

Another commented, "James Bond moves 007 in Lagos."

"Great advert for Toyota durability," said one user, with someone else replying, "Even Toyota is shocked."

One comment simply read, "Handicapped car."
