We've got to "hand" it to this beggar's traffic light hustle

This man spotted begging at an intersection has something up his sleeve... Literally!

As South Africans we have a unique way of showing up in our hustles with creativity and innovation. Yes, we've got that drive to push limits and achieve our goals, but also it's our sense of creativity that really sets us apart.
But this South African man has taken his hustle to the extreme in a way that left many of us shocked and uncomfortable.
In a video shared on social media, a man is seen standing at an intersection, holding a cup and begging for money. When the young man turns away, something unexpected is revealed.
It’s clear he’s trying to pull at people's heartstrings, hoping to evoke pity and compassion. What happens next, however, completely changes the narrative.
The person filming the interaction can't stop laughing, and as the man turns his body, we realise why.
In his quest to earn a quick buck, this man took deception to a whole new level by hiding his arm, pretending it was amputated.
Some might call it clever, while others admired his audacity.
"You gotta hand it to him."
"Imagine you give him money, and he pulls the arm out to put it into his pocket."
"I don't know what's wrong with me but this would've had me getting out my wallet. I appreciate the laugh, I guess."
"Desperate times call for desperate measures."
"Never turn your back on someone when you’re hustling."
"That was pretty creative though."
