Trust a South African to always "maak 'n plan".

We all know the saying "'n Boer maak 'n plan", which translates to "a farmer makes a plan". While we're obviously not all farmers, this mentality of finding a solution is ingrained in our DNA.

It's a valuable trait, but sometimes it pushes the boundaries of what seems possible. In this case, it wasn't just gravity at play, but also the laws that govern our roads.

Due to the size and weight of certain pieces of furniture, light motor vehicles are prohibited from transporting heavy goods on South African roads (and, likely, in many other parts of the world). Simply put, using a car to transport such large items is not only against the law but also poses safety risks.

The popular TikTok audio by Daiy Abrahams has become a go-to voiceover for many videos around Cape Town.

In this particular video, the sound accompanies footage of a light motor vehicle transporting two wooden table benches on its roof rack somewhere in Cape Town. The scene instantly reminded us of the way an African woman might skillfully balance water pots on her head.

While the video doesn't provide a close-up of the driver navigating the "high" load, it's impressive to see how secure and stable the benches appeared.
