Woman shares PSA about Choice Assorted Biscuits
She has directly addressed
the Bakers Man, making it clear that she means business!
As South Africans, we love to celebrate certain traditions, one of which is sharing a box of Choice Assorted biscuits with family over the festive season.
For many, it’s a treat, with each family member having their favourite biscuit from the tray.
It’s safe to say we have high expectations for our snacks and can get quite serious when they don’t meet them. Last month, South Africans voiced their concerns about the rising price of the Choice Assorted boxes, which has since halved in many stores.
Now, a woman from KZN has shared her disappointment with the Bakers Man after noticing a change in the Choice Assorted biscuit: her tray was missing the Romany Tarte.
She posted a video expressing her frustration and questioning the whereabouts of the Romany Tarte – she wants answers from the Bakers brand.
While some may describe her reaction as 'over-the-top', we South Africans don’t always deal well with change. So, it’s no surprise that many people chimed in about how they felt regarding the changes to the box over the years, including the size of the biscuits.
That’s inflation for you, but when it comes to brands like Bakers, which hold a special place in people’s hearts, it’s unacceptable to assume it will be okay.
There’s history, heritage and bonding time in those biscuits, so we have a lot riding on them. It’s more than just a teatime biscuit; it’s culture.
