Would you give this Smarties sandwich a try?
This Smarties sandwich is a bizarre concoction that allegedly tastes delicious.
We make it sound like a crime scene by loosely throwing in the word 'allegedly', but it sounds bizarre.
It's a sandwich made with Nestlé's Smarties, those colourful, chocolate-covered candies that have delighted kids for generations. The colourful, button-sized chocolate candies are a hit with people of all ages, sparking a sense of nostalgia and delight.
The surprise is in guessing which colour you'll get when you reach into the box.
But a TikTok video has given us a different sort of surprise that involves these small studs of chocolate.
TikToker, Just For Fun, posted a video of an unexpected food experiment: a toasted sandwich made with Smarties.
They emptied a box of Smarties onto a slice of bread, ensuring it was fully covered. Another slice of bread went on top, and the creation was toasted in a sandwich press.
Of course, when they removed the toasted sandwich, the melted Smarties had seeped into the bread, creating an unappetising appearance.
People on social media were less than impressed by the unusual food pairing, which is a little surprising as the concept of chocolate in bread has become a favourite in many households.
