Would you pay R1.5-million for a bed?
Perhaps the princess from the 'Princess and the Pea' story should've invested in one of these beds...
Luxury toilets have been all the rage, which is understandable considering people associate going to the toilet with the royal act of sitting on the throne.
But what about luxury beds? This is definitely a priority for many, getting your dose of beauty sleep is no joke.
What about paying R1.5-million for what is considered the Rolls Royce of beds?
Well, content creator Richard Haubrich has acted on our behalf by walking into a Hästens store in Cape Town.
He visited the bed store located in Green Point, Cape Town and asked why these beds are so expensive.
According to the lady in the store, it's because these beds are manufactured by Hästens, the best bed company in the world.
She does a workaround of the store with Haubrich and even shows him their bed spa with beds that range from R100,000 to R500,000. And then he asked to see the bed that goes for R1.5-million.
When asked why it is so expensive, she replied by saying it is made with the best materials and made by master craftsmen who are only allowed to work on these beds.
These beds are totally handmade on demand and are not mass-produced. So, we can definitely understand the appeal.
Haubrich then went on to ask about the bed that Drake sleeps on and they proceeded to show him on their online catalogue.
