What would you do if your landlord asked you to vacate for a weekend?
A landlord was videoed asking her tenant to leave her rental so that her friends from out of town could have a place to stay...
We've witnessed situations where both landlords and tenants are wrong.
Sometimes, as a landlord, you can have the most dreaded tenant, and vice versa, but at the end of the day, this is why everything is usually signed, sealed, and agreed upon.
It seems that this landlord didn't quite understand the concept of renting and what it meant. She was rude enough to think that she could just commandeer her property back from her renter when it suited her.
How it usually works is the renter or tenant leases a property for a set time from a landlord.
The lease agreement sets out the terms and conditions of the rental, including things like the amount the place is being rented for, the time frame that the property will be rented, the repairs and maintenance, etc.
But this landlord thought that these rules were below her. She was adamant that as the owner of the property, she could ask her tenant to stay at a hotel for the weekend because her friends were coming into town.
Shock and horror!
The tenant was not at all happy about her suggestion and what made things worse is the landlord acting like the tenant was being unreasonable for saying no to her weird arrangement.
