Yes, that would be a cockroach running on the dinner table...

Cockroaches rarely get an invite to the table, so they gatecrash as a form of protest.

Imagine trying a new restaurant out, feeling excited about it all, only to have your experience shattered because of a cockroach...

Trust a cockroach to ruin your experience. But, hey, even cockroaches have to eat, right?

Nah, we beg to differ. Cockroaches are synonymous for their rude intrusions and ability to play hide-and-seek with you (not in a good way). It was interesting to note recently that cockroaches help the environment, "Not only do they help 'clean up' degrading plant material, in the process their bodies trap a lot of atmospheric nitrogen."

In a video, that failed to change our opinion about cockroaches, we see a travel and lifestyle TikToker visit a restaurant in Cape Town.

Just as their meal arrived, they were rudely interrupted by a cockroach that decided to crawl around their condiment saucer.

Not ideal at all...

We tend to hold ourselves up to high standards when it comes to keeping insects away from our homes, therefore we expect that and more from food outlets.
