That's a monster of a burger...
The Monster Burger Challenge took place on the 4th of May 2024 at the Palmview Secondary School and reeled in a fun group of community members.
The competition winner, "Luaine Stuurman, finished the meal in a time of 7 minutes and 24 seconds". (IOL)
What was interesting to note was the massive size of the burger. It was made up of a 250g mutton patty encased in a burger bun that had a diameter of 17cm, three eggs, three slices of cheese, garnish, 300g of potato chips, and a 440ml Coca-Cola.

The 11-year-old boy was excited to have bragging rights with his monster win, especially since he competed against many adults.
According to IOL, Palmview Primary School in Phoenix also hosted a flea market on the same day as the Monster Burger Challenge. Stuurman's family had a stall at the market.
Gwen Nagappah, Stuurman's elder sister, said: "It was his first time ever competing in something like this, so he was excited about it. But he was not nervous or anything like that. He was actually engaging with the crowd in some parts."
