When excitement meets fail:15-year-old drives birthday present into house!

Certainly not how you expect a birthday surprise to go...

Surprises for birthdays are meant to be special and exciting - and for the most part they are.

But what happens when things don't go exactly as planned? We guess it depends on what type of person you are...

A family in Texas decided to surprise their 15-year-old son with a brand new car for his birthday.

Sounds sweet and super cool, but let's just say things weren't cool for long.

Grant Martinez was sitting inside his new ride, getting a feel for the car, when he asked him mother if he could back out the driveway.

But as the car began to move, he got spooked and instead of hitting the brakes he ended up hitting the accelerator.

Which resulted in him crashing his new car into the front of the house.

This is certainly not how you want things to end, but it was an accident...

At least no one was hurt, except for the house and the car... and an ego.
