Catfish scams are at their peak at the moment, and we have a good hunch that it will continue to grow, because people are always looking for love.
And as you know, playing in the online world is nothing like playing in the real world.
Somehow, it is much more scrupulous and harsh. Because what you see, isn't always what you get, in the most literal of senses.
With social media apps adding to this catfishing facade, it doesn't make it easier but definitely more difficult.
Because some of these filters are so real, that you cannot tell the difference between the real world and the simulated one.
We came across many women trying out a beauty filter on TikTok recently. It basically shows a fake version of them and its nothing like what they actually look like.
