Bride asks man with her dad’s heart to walk her down the aisle
It’s every girl’s dream to have her dad walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, but with life not always going the way we plan, sometimes that dream can shatter when we lose our loved ones.
But not for Jeni Stepien. After her dad was brutally murdered in 2006, Stepien thought there’s no better thing to do than to ask the man who was her dad’s heart recipient to walk her down the aisle.

And that’s exactly what she got. Stepien wrote a letter to Paul Maenner, who is known as Tom, saying: "Dear Tom, I’m the daughter of the man who’s heart is inside of you and I’m gonna get married on August 6th. If you’re willing, would you walk me down the aisle?", MSN reported.
The bride, and her family, were reportedly pleased that Tom agreed. "The whole family is here now. It’s like everybody is here," Stepien told the publication. While her sister, Michelle, added: "Just hugging him made me feel like I was close to my dad again which on this day was perfect."
