Is it wrong to have children in your 50's?
Actress and ex-wife to Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Neilsen has been criticized for having her 5th child at 54.
The actress spoke to People magazine, saying she's received a lot of criticism for having her daughter Frida later in life.
The actress shares her daughter with her new husband, Mattia Dessi who's 16 years younger than her. Neilsen already has four sons from her previous marriages and Frida is her first daughter. The couple went through 10 years of IVF to fall pregnant with their daughter and says her husband is 'a natural' with their little girl.
The Red Sonja actress told People Magazine:
“Some women think, ‘oh my god, I’m too old.’ Well yeah I can understand people saying ‘how dare she.’”
“I’m literally a different person, and that has a lot to do with my husband, because my husband doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink,” she revealed. “When I met him I was like rock and roll, and he said, ‘I adore you, but I cannot live with that.’
“I have that real old-fashioned feel to my family that I always wanted, the kind my mom and dad had.”
