Baby learns about pain the hard way

Baby learns about pain the hard way

This is a key lesson that most kids have to learn at some point or the other...

No one wants a child to get hurt on purpose, but sometimes, when you are learning to let go and allowing your kids to learn lessons on their own you have to resist the urge to help them through everything.

You have to let your children figure things out on their own. Being a parent or caregiver sometimes means stepping back and letting your loved ones learn things independently in their own time.

There's no denying that it can be challenging to do when you have a baby, and all you want to do is protect and shelter them from anything harmful.

A mother who has dedicated her TikTok account to her baby shared a key moment when her baby boy had to learn a lesson by himself—no matter how painful it was.

The mother, Gwaji on TikTok, shared a video of her little one playing with a rubber band. Children put everything in their mouths as they process things around them and try to make sense of their environment. It is a natural part of their development, but most parents' instincts are to stop them from doing this immediately.

This mother resisted the urge to do so and allowed her baby to learn a lesson about pain.

We must admit, though, that it looked like the baby thought the rubber band was a noodle or something that could be eaten and was trying to bite a piece off. The poor little guy held it together.

However, we can assure you that this will not stop him from putting things in his mouth or even eating a rubber band again. It takes a bit of time for them to get it.

Sorry, mom!
