A baking hazard: Brother discovers rock-hard muffins
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp/Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
People on social media are calling these muffins "rusk muffins"...

Nothing beats the charm of home-baked goodies. From the comforting aromas wafting through the house to the wholesome taste, tradition, and sense of togetherness, there’s something uniquely satisfying about baking at home.
It's a feeling you often miss when picking up something from the store or bakery.
Baking is truly a science – understanding how ingredients work together is key to achieving the perfect result.
So, if you happen to get the recipe quantities wrong, you can pretty much guarantee a baking mishap is in your future.
A brother took to social media to share the hilarious disaster that was his sister’s baking attempt.
Not only were her muffins inedible, but they also did not rise and looked like rocks.
If your sister bakes like this, it might be safer to skip the home-baked goods and head straight to the bakery.
In the video, the brother stands in the kitchen with the most unexpected tool for the job – a hammer.
With the tray of muffins in front of him, he picks one up and starts hammering away at it like it’s a piece of construction material...
Under normal circumstances, if this recipe had gone as planned, the hammer would’ve reduced the muffin to crumbs.
But instead, these muffins proved to be indestructible.
