Checkers Sixty60 paper bags double as gift wrap this Xmas

It's the multifunctional use of these paper bags that has surprised us this year...

This year, South Africans went the extra mile in their relationship with Checkers Sixty60. It went from first to fourth base in months and was all warranted.

We saw a mother use the Checkers Sixty60 paper bags to cover her kid's school books, which represented the beginning of this craze. Since then, we have seen parents sharing their kids' obsessions with the Checkers Sixty60 merch, with one mother planning a full-on Checkers Sixty60-inspired birthday party for her kid.

It is safe to assume that most South Africans have loved their growing relationship with the Checkers Sixty60 brand. As we end the year off, it seems their love is still running strong.

Samantha Lee-Jacobs shared how her nieces are crazy about Sixty60, so she started wrapping her Christmas gifts with Checkers Sixty60 paper bags.

It turned out so great that she continued and was happy with the results. She was inspired to add personalised gift tags to each present and added some ribbon for that extra touch.

Samantha's TikTok handle is 'Sam Of All Trades', and we have to agree with her here: she was able to add something 'extra' to her gift wrapping this year while also saving on gift wrapping and doing her bit for the environment by recycling.

@sam_ofalltrades Dear @Checkers_Sixty60 Thank You ❤️ This started as an idea for my nieces, who are #Sixty60 crazy, but how CUTE are these recycled gift wrappings and inspired tags... 😍 only 80% wrapped, but thankfully another order of "wrapping paper" arrives in the morning. #christmas2024 #giftwrapping #recycled #fyp ♬ original sound - Esra Mese
