Eeeew! Woman finds maggots in her chocolate
This was not ideal, considering 'tis the season we look forward to our chocolate treats...
It's never ideal to open up any food and find it infested with maggots.
A woman from KwaZulu-Natal shared her horrifying experience online, and let's say it put us off chocolate. Okay, it put us off chocolate for now...
Those are big claims to make for anyone, but you may understand when you see the videos. Mellissa Ngcobo shared the unsightly scene from her kitchen counter where she had unwrapped several Lindt Lindor Truffles, only to find that they had been infested with maggots.

She was irate that maggots had attacked several Lindt Lindor Truffles from the assorted box. It looked like a scene more suited for Halloween than Christmas.
She said that she purchased the box in Umhlanga and didn't keep her receipt. But she could show proof of purchasing items from her bank account. This was all revealed after she reached out to Lindt SA, and they responded to her on social media, requesting that she file a formal complaint.
