The future of women is...Stacey Fru
This young woman is making us beam with pride this week. At just 15 years of age, she has authored five books, is a philanthropist, a child rights activist, and now has added director and president of a company to her list of achievements.
Stacey Fru is the second of four children and was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2007.
"The 15-year-old is the youngest member on the board of the company and one of few South African teenagers to lead a company not founded by herself." (IOL)
The company is an education-focused tech company called, AfroStory, and she is joined by six adult team members and 10 shareholders. She has, in fact, been a shareholder at AfroStory since 2021.
"AfroStory is an all-in-one African reading app. The majority of the books available are African or black-authored, works offline and the 83 books are available for purchase with a bank card, the Stacey Fru Foundation said. Fru’s books are also available on the platform." (IOL)
