Talk around the return of loadshedding leaves many people with PTSD. This, coupled with the power outages unrelated to loadshedding, can leave us uneasy.

South Africa has gone 100 days without loadshedding. Oh, what a feeling. Economists say this will positively affect our economy, but we are sure it has also positively impacted our mood.

In saying that, we found an interesting hack to beat the hunger during loadshedding. Of course, we are seasoned in preparing for the unexpected, so this can also be used during a general power outage.

A woman posted a hack on preparing a snack amidst an unexpected power outage. And it was inexpensive...

She used tea-light candles and a muffin tray to cook noodles and scrambled eggs. Of course, you must follow the proper safety measures whenever you use fire.

Fire safety is a must in every home. If you are unfamiliar with fire safety tips, you can check them out on the Fire Protection Association of Southern Africa website
