Hakuna Matata? Pumba gets too close for comfort at 'Disney On Ice'
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
We aren't sure if this little man will be eager to watch 'The Lion King' again...
Attending a show as a family is always a splendid way to spend time together. For a family with younger kids, it is important to select a show that is family-friendly.
The 'Disney On Ice' show has visited South Africa before, and, of course, it is a proper treat for the little ones who enjoy seeing their favourite Disney characters glide on the ice.
But most parents don't consider the unforeseen circumstances of their kids getting traumatised by some of the characters.
An unlikely circumstance occurred at a 'Disney On Ice' show when a toddler who was told by his mother to sit back several times was almost rolled over by Pumba.

Pumba thought he was funny there, but it seems he scared the little boy to tears.
These sorts of shows can go either way; some kids get overwhelmed when they see this larger-than-life character before them, while others cannot stop themselves from fangirling.
As adults, we often think these sorts of 'live' experiences would excite our kids, but it is good to prepare them before attending.
It's best to show them videos of what the show looks like beforehand, allow them to bring along a comfort item (like a toy or a blanket), and let them know that the sound might be louder than what they are used to.
Tune in to the 'Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp', weekdays from 09:00 - 12:00. Stream the show live here or download our mobile app here.
