Have you ever asked yourself what the best thing has been since sliced bread? Sliced cheese, of course.

We're here to tell you that sliced cheese isn't just great for sandwiches but a vital ingredient in parenting babies. A trend that emerged on social media shows a parenting style that left us laughing out loud.

When you are greeted by constant crying, it can be challenging to function at your best. But as parents, we push through, and eventually, we get out on the other side of the crying.

Parents have found a new 'hack' that works wonders when trying to stop their baby from crying.

One person called it, "The power of cheese".

Even though the videos were all about having fun, many people didn't like this trend. They felt that some parents threw the cheese harshly, which was inappropriate for the babies.

Perhaps some of the throws were a bit harsh, but what surprised us was that they worked on the majority of babies.

Check out some of the comments. Also, please note that, according to the parents who made these videos, no babies were injured during the making of the videos.

  • "I grew up on the parenting technique of “if you wanna cry, I’ll give you something to cry about.”
  • "It might’ve been cute had the parents gently placed the American cheese on their babies’ heads. Throwing things at their faces, however, is not ok."
  • "Excellent on adults, also. They have the same expression."
  • "Some of these were personal."
  • "I wonder if it has to do with heat dissipation. baby's heads are so hot when they cry. must be nice and cool to have some cheese on there its a cheese sink"
