Have you tried the 6 to 1 grocery shopping hack?

Have you tried the 6 to 1 grocery shopping hack?

If you were wondering, this method helps you stick to a budget without overspending on things you do not require.

Shopping on a budget is possible, but not everyone is willing to follow the tips to see the benefits.

Some find meal planning the way to go, while others stick to grocery lists (which are still unplanned if you ask us), and some have budget grocery hacks.

These hacks work based on your lifestyle needs and don't follow a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to grocery shopping. Of course, if you are in the market to manage your salary so that you see where your money is being spent and how to rein in the belts on overspending, then perhaps you should try this hack.

This hack, called the 6 to 1 grocery shopping hack, suits a health-conscious person or family. So, if you are not focused on a balanced diet, this one isn't for you.

This shopping method supports a balanced diet: You purchase six veggies, five fruits, four proteins, three starches, two sauces or spreads, and one fun thing for yourself.

It is said to have been shared online by American Chef, TV Personality, Food Writer, and Food Stylist Will Coleman. He swears by this method and says it can be applied regardless of the store you visit.

Coleman's method is based on shopping once a week and is specific to grocery shopping. It allows you to not muck around the grocery store, which in turn helps you save money. You go in, get what you need, and leave.
