There's a side of parenting that parents sometimes overlook when they are around their kids. A side that no one truly is prepared for. Yes, there's the fulfilling part, but there is also the overwhelming part.

This is the part that only sometimes comes with a manual. It requires you to remember that it takes a village to raise a child.

A Johannesburg mother, Prabashini Moodley, who shared a video of her toddler redecorating parts of the house with painted hands, also reminded parents to check in on one another.

Just as kids get overstimulated, so do parents. We have to normalise it so that we don't end up bottling everything up and feeling guilty over feeling the feels.
