Kid dials concierge while parents are busy

Patience is truly a virtue, and when we heard how the hotel concierge responded to this baby, it was truly admirable.

Our kids have a way of brightening our days, mainly when they act outside of society's conformity.

We live in a world that pushes us to conform; kids shouldn't speak back, they should always listen to their elders, they shouldn't scream and shout, and so on.

But we are entering an evolutionary space in the world of parenting. A space where parents are shifting the status quo and allowing their kids to be kids, removing the closed-mindedness.

A simple example of how we can evolve in our approach to reacting to something traditionally considered 'wrong' was seen in a video shared by a mother on holiday with her family in Bangkok, Thailand

In the video, the mother shares how her baby crawled up on their hotel room bed while she was busy doing her makeup and called the concierge.

Her baby is still unable to speak, but he is proficient in baby talk. Instead of the mother pulling the phone from him and telling him that that was not acceptable, she allowed him to talk on the phone.

Surprisingly, the hotel employee working the concierge desk was patient and kind to the baby. He didn't shout or scream at the child. Instead, he tried to identify if the child was okay by asking if he was alone.
