Trust South Africans to come up with efficient (and amusing) ways to do life...

Trust a South African to bring a unique spin to the way we live our lives.

It's not the first time we have seen a taxi featured on social media, but usually, the story is less than positive.

This time, we see a light-hearted approach to the common commute in a trusted form of public transportation in South Africa, the mini-bus taxi.

Fun fact, according to the Arrive Alive mobile site, "there are approximately 3.9-million public transport commuters in South Africa, 2.5-million of those commuters use the taxi and account for over 63 percent of public transport work trips."

As a fun (and practical) way of making sure the taxi driver knew her drop-off point, this passenger used a wireless portable Bluetooth karaoke microphone.

Other passengers found this funny and so did many commentators who shared their views on the post.

Ah, South Africa, you always seem to amaze us and when we least expect it...

  • "At least the driver cant say i didn't hear."
  • "I love my country so much"
  • "This would have made my college days better commuting from home to school everyday."
  • "At least no one will have to say “Uthe short left”"
  • "Thanks to the creator of the microphone Now we can listen to the ladies humour"
