Lalla Hirayama recently discovered that she suffers from PCOS and has developed a product to help women suffering from the same illness. Elana sat with her to talk about her new venture in the health sector and how she came to developing these products.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine and metabolic disorders in women of child-bearing age. Approximately 15-20% of women (1 in 7 women) will have the condition.
Lalla says she had been experiencing mild to severe symptoms before she was diagnosed and always assumed it was regular PMS.
She had suffered from breakouts, hair loss, weight gain, forgetfulness, and depression before going to see an endocrinologist and being diagnosed.
Lalla says she went on conventional medicine but struggled with the outcome and that's when she decided to source a herbal alternative which later led to her developing her own products.
