Leftovers served by mother at daughter's wedding
This is what you get for trusting your thrifty mother to plan your wedding.
Weddings are expensive, we get that.
But there is a line between what you choose to budget and what needs a bit of a splurge - and the food is definitely something that deserves a splurge.
A woman who recently took to Reddit to share her story asked people if she was an A-hole for telling guests at her sister's wedding not to eat the food.
She had a big wedding eight months prior and there was loads of leftover food, which she anticipated.
"I knew we would likely have leftovers, so had arranged for them to be donated to the soup kitchen we sometimes work with, however, my mom went behind my back and took most of it with her. I didn't really know what happened to the food." (Reddit)
Cue to eight months later, her sister's wedding, which was solely organised by their mother (her sister's decision after seeing what happened at her wedding eight months prior).
Everything was running smoothly until the woman noticed the food served at the buffet. Besides it looking familiar, it was also looking quite sad.
"I found an opening and went to ask my mom about it where she happily told me she "saved a fortune" by unfreezing the food from my wedding to serve to the guests now. I was horrified and immediately voiced my concerns about safety. She got upset and said I was acting like a snob and should be happy the food wasn't going to waste. I argued that it was never going to be wasted, but she wouldn't hear it." (Reddit)

After communicating the discovery to her sister, who was entirely embarrassed. Her husband and her started telling the guests to not eat the food.
Of course, their motivation behind it all was the fear that someone might get ill. Note that she didn't do this without her sister's (the bride's) permission.
But it seems her mom wasn't the only one to catch on some heat from the family, she was also accused of causing unnecessary drama.
So, naturally, she turned to Reddit to ask people if she was wrong to do that and if she should in fact apologise.
