Little boy brings mom a 'frog prince'

This is a good reminder that sleeping in is not always possible when you have young kids...

Waking up to your child proudly presenting an unsightly animal they’ve brought into the house might not be the best way to start the day – but it does make for a great story to share with them when they’re older.
Most parents look forward to the weekend, hoping for a small break from early mornings. But more often than not, that dream is short-lived.
Kids’ internal clocks seem to be wired in reverse – their little bodies and brains are hardwired to wake up early on the weekend and yet struggle to wake up during the school week. It’s a mystery that continues to baffle parents everywhere.
The best strategy? Plan ahead. Either get them out of the house early or tag-team it by asking a loved one to take over while you catch a little extra rest.
One little boy took things to the next level – possibly
with a little help from his dad – when he decided to surprise his mother
with his own version of 'The Frog Prince'.
The catch? Mom was still asleep… or so it seemed. The boy ran into
the house, placed a large frog directly on her face, and stepped back to
watch her reaction.
While it’s easy to laugh, we can’t help but wonder if the universe keeps score. If so, we might just find ourselves in her shoes one day – face to face with an unexpected amphibian wake-up call.

Here are some helpful tips for getting your toddlers to sleep in during the weekend:
Push bedtime a little later: A later bedtime might just buy you a few extra winks on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
-
Set up quiet morning activities: Leave out books, puzzles, or toys that encourage quiet time, books or simple activities that will keep them busy in the morning.
-
Try using a clock: A clock can help kids understand when it’s okay to get out of bed. There are no guarantees it will work, but it’s worth a shot!
-
Tag-team with your partner: Take turns sleeping in while the other handles the early wake-ups, whether that means taking the kids out or keeping them quietly occupied.
