Mzansi says that this was a set-up, but the mom denies it.

A cute video racking social media views shows a young girl named Melo motivating her father to take his wife (her mother) out more.

The young girl is seen telling her father to get off the phone and take his wife out for a walk, go to the beach for a swim with "Mommy", or go have a picnic with her "only".

It was a sweet interaction that the mom managed to film as she stood close by.

Many commenters pointed out that the situation seemed like a classic setup, suggesting the mother had prompted her daughter to speak to her father about "spending more time with Mommy".

The mother, however, denied this, stating it was entirely the daughter’s initiative.

To be honest, the start of the video didn’t quite work in the mom’s favour, as her reflection in the mirror raised some suspicions.

It gave the impression that she might have been trying to capture the moment for her own records or as cute content – and if that was her goal, she certainly succeeded.

Social media users were captivated by the little girl’s heartfelt pep talk. Many also couldn’t help but comment on how much the father resembled Kanye West.

One person accused the mom, Lutho, of prompting her daughter, commenting, "Uyaphosisa uLutho umthumilee – You’re wrong, Lutho; who sent her?"

Lutho responded, "I promise I didn’t; she just walked into our room while we were having a lovely conversation. Kids observe."
