Mom calls out fellow mom for not walking her kid to school
Is wearing a nightgown to school drop-off a good enough reason not to walk your kid to the school gate?
Dropping your kids off at school can seem like a marathon at times. Getting everyone ready for school and work can be tiresome and stressful.
Most mothers will agree that they always put themselves last during the school morning run, especially if you're a stay-at-home mom or work from home. In other words, this could mean not always being perfectly put-together when you drop your child off in the morning.
While that's understandable, prioritising your child's safety over worrying about being judged as the mom who wore her nightgown to school drop-off should be more important.
After all, other parents might never let go of their judgements – but your child's well-being should always come first.
Katlego KatMatlala shared a video describing an encounter with a mother who allowed her child to get out of the car alone outside the school gate because she was not dressed appropriately.
This might've been fine if the child was old enough to walk to the school gate by herself, but according to KatMatlala, the child appeared to be no older than two years old.
What made the situation worse was that, after letting her child out the passenger door, the mother didn't check to see where the child was and began reversing her car – almost hitting the child in the process.
