Mom celebrates her son's first birthday cake fail

This is what parenting is all about, making every moment - even the not-so-good ones - a celebration.
As a mom, there will always be a part of you that wants to make your little ones feel super special. Especially on their birthdays.
And so the pressure we put on ourselves can sometimes set us up for failure.
But sometimes it is just about picking yourself up regardless of the results and celebrating a special moment with your baby, because the truth is, they don't care or even know about 'failure'.
One mom really represented that perfectly in a video she shared about baking her baby a cake on his first birthday.
At first, it all seemed fine, but things took a quick turn for disaster when she decided to cut the cake smaller.
What we loved about her response to everything was the fact that she just went with it. Instead of shying away from sharing the disaster of a cake, she shared it to show moms that it's okay not to have everything turn out perfectly.
After all, whose standards are those anyway?

@itsbrittanyann It’s about the memories though, right? 😂 Ps. My mom had made a nice cake for the actual party to eat 🙈 #firstbirthdayparty #firstbirthdaysmashcake #smashcake #smashcakes #momsoftiktok #momtok #relateablemom #bakingfail #cakefail #cakefails #birthdaycakefail #babytoks ♬ Summer day - TimTaj
