Mom finds toddler pouring a beer into his water bottle

When your kid pushes the limits...
Kids doing the darndest of things does not surprise us because, let's face it, we have seen our fair share of things as parents.
They are brutally honest, have their own minds, and are unafraid to use them.
But as parents, there are some things that we will not compromise on. As the new found advice goes, setting boundaries is vital in every relationship.
We recently saw a video on social media that many people took as a joke. The video showed a young boy standing at the fridge's door, pouring a beer into his plastic water/juice bottle.
According to KidsHealth.Org, "Preschoolers aren’t ready for a lot of information about alcohol. But you can set a good example by drinking responsibly (or not at all), being active, and eating healthy. If kids do have questions about alcohol, answer them honestly."

As adults, a small part of us looks at something like this and finds it amusing. But a more significant part of us sounds alarm bells in our brains.
It is evident to any responsible adult that alcohol affects your mind and your body; with children, the effects are much worse. Talking to your kids about alcohol can aid in them understanding the effects and why people drink it. Sometimes, there is excitement in the unknown but by educating them on the subject, you as a parent can help detach that excitement around alcohol.
The mom's commentary in the above video made it evident that she left the beer bottle open after having a rock shandy earlier in the day. However, the details surrounding this little boy's intention in pouring the beer are unclear, but what's important is that his mom caught him in the act before anything serious happened.
