You learn something new every day...
Becoming a mother can be straining. It can challenge you in ways that you never thought possible.
Sometimes it can even make you feel less than good enough, but there is a silver lining.
Once you go through it, you learn, you adapt, you progress, and you gain your confidence.
It can be daunting with experts sharing all the things that you should and shouldn't do, but motherly instinct is real, so don't forget to follow your gut.
One of the things that really caught our attention was a video shared by a mother on TikTok.
In the video, the mother says that her baby's masseur told her that changing the nappy the conventional way may affect the baby's walking.
Holding the baby's feet to pick their bottoms up could have adverse effects.

The mother goes on to explain further in the comments saying:
"Pulling the ankles up tractions the hip joints which should be avoided due to complications such as hip dysplasia and hip dislocation." (TikTok)

@natalia.be.be My baby’s masseur showed me how to properly change a diaper. I'm very surprised because I did it like in the first video😲 #babymassage #babymassagetime #diaper #diapers #diaperchange #momsoftiktok #momstip #momshacks #babyoftiktok #fyp ♬ original sound - The Motherhood Journey
Now remember when we told you how experts telling us what we're doing incorrectly as parents can be stressful? In this case, people seemed like they had enough, and used this opportunity to share their true feelings.
Many commented saying that they have been doing this with their kids and their kids walk just fine. Others even went on to say that their parents used this method, and they walk just fine.
We guess that parents are coming into their own and trusting their parental instincts.
