Mom surprised to find her furniture with red crayon marks

A child armed with a crayon can be a dangerous thing.

Having toddlers can be a delightful yet exhausting experience, full of unexpected moments. Some surprises are heartfelt and wholesome, while others... well, they're heartfelt in a different way.
Grace Kaage, a mother and real estate professional with a passion for property, architecture and interior design, got a dose of the unexpected when she asked her toddler, "Where did you colour?"
Innocently, her son took her hand and led her into the living room, which had become his canvas for the day. Armed with a red crayon, he had left his mark on nearly every piece of furniture, including his sister's stuffed toy.
When she asked him if he was supposed to do that, he smiled and replied, "Yeah."
The little one didn’t quite grasp the extent of the damage he'd done with his crayon, which seemed more like a weapon than a writing tool. Mom, doing her best to teach him about consequences, put him in "Time Out."
It took a bit of time, but eventually, she got through to him – telling him that the only place he was allowed to colour was in a book. But she maybe should've rethought that one as "a book" could mean any book... and that's a very slippery slope.
