Muddy kids make mom question when schools open
We loved how excited these kids were about playing in the garden. It is a rare occurrence in the world of technology.
What would you rather have - your kids playing outside, creating a mess, or having them glued to a screen?
Most parents struggle to tear their kids away from their screens, so we concur that getting them outside sounds more attractive, even if they are making a mess.
A mother who often shares posts about her journey as a stay-at-home mother recently joked about asking when schools are re-opening. The question came after she found her kids playing with mud in the garden.
In the video, the mother calls out to her kids, Hazel and Harvey. She walks up to them and tries to be the disciplinarian, but it is evident that with Gen Alpha, that is a losing battle.
The mother asked them what they were doing and if they were playing in the mud, which was evident at this point, and the kids' reactions were heartwarming. It was just pure fun for them...
The little boy didn't let mom's disappointment stop him and continued to run into the wet garden area where his father was working and as for his sister, she was open and honest that playing the mud was fun. She was also proud to share her 'mudball' with her mother.
Many people shared how cute the video was, and let's be honest, it was humbling to see kids this young still enjoy playing outdoors. It is exactly what we want to see more of as parents.
