Mzansi up in arms over chained dog being threatened by snake
A snake reared up at a dog in the homeowner's yard, striking in the direction of the dog multiple times.
After hearing the spine-chilling tale of an Australian snake catcher who discovered 102 red-bellied black snakes in a Sydney backyard, we’re still trying to shake off the chills.
Now, an even more heart-racing video has emerged, showing a face-off between a snake and a pet dog in what can only be described as a perilous standoff.
A TikTok user shared the video, showing what she saw when she looked out her window to investigate her dog’s frantic barking.
She spotted a snake rearing up at her dog, who was chained and unable to escape. The dog, desperately running from side to side, was clearly in distress but also showing its protective instincts, trying to safeguard its family without getting bitten.

The people of Mzansi were deeply concerned about the dog, not just because it was chained but also because it was left in the sun. However, we did notice there was a tin kennel behind the dog in the video.
In the footage, the girl calls out for help from her mother and neighbours, desperately asking if anyone can assist with handling the snake.
She later shared an update about what happened to the snake, revealing that it ended up dead – but TikTok removed the video.
Mzansi didn’t hold back, accusing her of neglecting her pet and failing in her responsibilities as a pet owner.
