Only in SA: Loading a taxi with sand
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
This is just one of the many things South Africans do that make us unique.
We are used to seeing things that are out-of-this-world in South Africa.
It's not unusual to see people push boundaries, express their creativity in weird and wacky ways, and do things that defy the status quo.
These things that people will only find in South Africa are what makes us unique; it also makes us resilient.
A video shared on social media shows a man shovelling sand into a vehicle.
But it's not a van or something suitable for loading building sand, but rather a passenger taxi. Yes, the 14-seater that many South Africans rely on to get from point A to B is used to transport building sand.
That's not as unusual as some might think, but it does catch the eye differently.
South Africans will use whatever is in their means to ensure a job gets done, especially if it involves the right price. This man probably owns the taxi or hired it out to get that building sand to the building site.
This video is proof that, as South Africans, not only are we resilient, but we are also very capable of always making a plan.
