Parents forget their baby in shopping cart
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
Should we be hard on these parents or cut them some slack?
Being a parent takes work. It requires a lot of energy, and 90% of that energy requires mental strength.
Not all parents can do it all; sometimes, only a fellow parent can see the cracks that parenting leaves. That's not to say that parenting is terrible, but just as kids learn to process their emotions, so do parents.
We're curious if everyone gets it because society can sometimes be harsh.
And just like that, a mother was videoed forgetting something priceless in her shopping cart.

We know that watching the video as a parent can bring up some unwanted feelings and opinions.
Still, this video looks like it was shared by a random person who saw the content opportunity to bring another person down.
It's easy to sit back and judge another person for doing something that is 'socially unacceptable', but instead of pointing the finger, we should be more mindful of being there for mothers (and fathers) who are just trying to do their best.
