Police officers have notoriously been featured in the media with a negative slant.

But this time, Boston police officers showed a side of their job that we don't often get to see. When body cameras first became part of the police uniform in the US, it wasn't just a means to protect the police, it was also a way of protecting civilians.

This time people all over the world got to see a positive story that involved a good deed performed by two Boston police officers earlier this month.

After the man called 911 saying he wished someone would wish him a 'Happy Birthday', the two Boston cops decided to pay it forward with a surprise.

"Officers Israel Bracho and Franklin Ortiz showed up with a muffin and candles to wish 25-year-old Chris a happy birthday." (X)

The officers are a great representation of what being a law enforcement officer means. They certainly flipped the script when it came to the stereotypical idea of seeing a cop at your door.

Check out this camera footage that captured another police officer in a separate story. He was kind enough to complete the DoorDash delivery of the driver who was arrested.
