POV: Mom friends plan a hang out with the kids

We're not certain this happens to all mom friends, but it certainly is relatable...
Most moms enjoy a play date now and then with their fellow mom friends.
Because it means they get to leave the house, enjoy some adult interaction with a friend, and their kids get to have some playtime.
So, all in all, it is a win, win, win for everyone.
But that rarely is the case.
Because what is planned as a hangout session turns into a 'Mommy and Me' date.
For some reason, the kids almost always want your full attention when they know that you are engaged in a conversation with someone other than them.
More than that, it's like they have an attention radar that is on full power when your attention is not on them entirely.
