Emigrating can be regarded as a complex process. It is a chapter that can be liberating and scary all at once. Leaving home can propel you in directions you never thought possible, allowing you to learn and look at the world with fresh eyes.

It changes you in a way that may not seem like a big deal initially, but it is. Therefore, living in another country is something you should do with an open mind.

A South African woman who describes herself as the 'Tattooed Attorney' shared a clip of how living in China with her toddler is going. It was more than an exciting take on living abroad as a South African

The Tattooed Attorney shares how she and her daughter are constantly made to feel like celebrities when people stop, stare, and even take photos and videos of them.

She was very lighthearted and understanding about the stares of admiration, but they were uncomfortable. South Africans going to work abroad are made aware of these things when they decide to leave South Africa

She seemed uncomfortable to some extent, but her toddler looked confused and unfazed by it all. More than anything, South Africans moving to another country face the culture shock of emigrating.

At first, you might feel overwhelmed by it all; people staring at you for looking different in a predominantly populated country with locals can be intimidating, especially with the vast language barrier, but this South African TikToker looks like she was made for this.
